Children at the cardiologist

Common reasons for visiting a cardiologist include murmurs, chest pain, arrhythmia, fainting, reduced exercise tolerance or any other symptoms that cause concern for the child or parents. For example, heart murmurs are quite common in children, but further investigation is often necessary to rule out more serious causes.

Not all of our cardiologists see children, so always call the office directly to make an appointment for children under 15. At Sydänkeskus Oulu, Pauli Pätsi, a specialist in pediatrics and cardiology, also welcomes the youngest children in the family, over 2 years old.
